Firstly, please remember that you can not remove any of the default categories.

To delete or remove a category, follow these steps:

1. Select the category you want to remove by clicking on the name
2. Right click on the category name and select “delete”
3. If there are recipes currently allocated to that category you will also be given the option to delete all of the recipes in the category as well or move them to another category. If you don’t want to delete the recipes but don’t want to put them all in the same category, select “All Recipes” as the category and then click “Delete and move recipes”. If you wish to delete all of the recipes in that category then click “Delete with Recipes”.
4. The category will then be removed from the list and all of the recipes will be moved to the category you selected or deleted depending on which button you chose.
